This project consisted in a Winter school aimed at providing skills and tools on diplomatic practice in the globalization era targeted to young women coming from the Mediterranean area, who will be able to operate, in various capacities and with various levels of responsibility, in international institutions and organizations.
Target Group: 20 young leaders coming from Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt and Tunisia.
The project involved the Italian Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Italian Society for International Organisation (SIOI).
Main objectives: enhancing the good practices to achieve gender-balanced representation into top positions in international public affairs; promoting participation of women in decision-making, inter alia in the field of conflict prevention and resolution and in multilateral diplomacy; increasing women representations in senior-level positions of responsibility, as enshrined in Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000).
