The Italian Society for International Organization – SIOI, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – Directorate General for Political Affairs and Security, has organized a Master Course in Geopolitics and Crisis Management addressed to 12 diplomatic women of the Republic of the Yemen.
The innovativeness of the current training initiative is framed in the implementation of the Third National Action Plan adopted in compliance with the Resolution n 1325 (2000) of the United Nations Security Council on “Women, Peace and Security” focusing on the training of women, specifically Yemeni diplomatic officials.
In line with our country, SIOI intended to contribute to the full implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) and the Third Italian National Action Plan (NAP) with a specialized training course aimed at further strengthening and promoting gender equality, empowerment and women’s participation in all areas of civil society life.
On this basis SIOI developed the Master Course in Geopolitics and Crisis Management aimed at 12 diplomatic women of the Republic of Yemen in the awareness of the utmost importance that women exercise in transforming society as agents of change; in fact, they can represent the keystone in a country like Yemen which has been facing a war that for years continues incessantly with a huge cost for the civilian population.
