The Italian Society for International Organization (SIOI) is organizing the English for Global Affairs course. The classes, conducted in English, will be offered in a blended format.

This course is specifically designed for young people aspiring to pursue international careers, as well as for public and private sector officials who already hold responsible roles or who wish to further develop their professional profile in the field of international relations.

It is aimed at participants with an advanced level of English proficiency, allowing them to refine their linguistic and communicative skills in global contexts. Through a practical and interactive approach, participants will have the opportunity to enhance their public speaking abilities and engage with experts of the field.

GOAL AND CONTENT

The course offers the opportunity to deepen knowledge of English in an international context, developing language skills and public speaking abilities.

ADMISSION

The course is aimed at young people interested in international careers, as well as public and private sector officials with roles or career prospects in international fields.
Participants are expected to already have an advanced knowledge of English.

PROGRAMME
  • Comprehension of written and spoken language, along with the assessment of message reception. Precision and clarity of expression, with language appropriate to the culture, traditions, and sensitivities of interlocutors.
  • Different varieties of English and “Standard English” used in international contacts. Use of specialized terminology relevant to various professional fields.
  • Translation and language proficiency. Modes of expression in bilateral and multilateral contexts.
  • Public speaking and communication styles in different contexts on complex or unfamiliar topics: in writing, verbally, over the phone, and online.

The application for enrollment must be submitted by completing the Registration Form and sending the required documentation to the email address formint@sioi.org.
