The course aims to prepare interested candidates to participate in general competitions of the Institutions of the European Union (Ad 5 Generalists’ Competition) to be published in November 2023 and organised according to the new Competition model that was made public by EPSO in early 2023.

The course, taught in English, is highly practical and interactive and it will take place on 5 and 6 October 2023 from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, in a hybrid format.

At the end of the course, students will obtain a certificate of participation.

GOAL AND CONTENT

The course aims to prepare interested candidates to participate in general competitions of the Institutions of the European Union. The new competitions will be much simpler in structure than those that we have been used to since 2011. EPSO will be responsible for the early stages of the process: dealing with applications, the administration of various reasoning tests followed by an EU knowledge MCQ test and a written test. Some competitions will also have digital skills test. All of these will be on-line. Based on these tests and eligibility checks, EPSO will draw up a Reserve List. After the publication of that List, the EU institutions will select those that they wish to employ after further tests and interviews.

OUTLINE
The course will take place on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 October 2023 from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm. It includes a practical section with exercises on the techniques for passing the new EPSO competition tests.
PROGRAMME

This course aims to guide you through the various stages of this process:

• Completing a winning application form
• How to prepare for the reasoning and EU knowledge tests
• Writing a successful case study or report
• Preparing for interviews and oral presentations

It is recommended that you do not complete your application form before the course as we are convinced that your approach to that first essential step on the way to success in the Competition can be much improved.
