Presentation

The course has the objective to provide the theoretical and empirical knowledge necessary for interpreting the International Political dynamics and favour the debate across the contribution of analysts and experts chosen in research and journalism sectors.

The course expects 6 meetings, on Fridays from 14.00 to 17.30 and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 12:00. The lessons will be in live web mode with the possibility of interaction between participants and teachers.

GOAL AND CONTENT

The course has the objective to provide the theoretical and empirical knowledge necessary for interpreting the International Political dynamics and favour the debate across the contribution of analysts and experts chosen in research and journalism sectors.

ADMISSION

The Course is addressed to young graduates in all disciplines, to the public officials both Civil and Military, private operators in the security sector, analysts journalists and researchers.

OUTLINE
The course expects 6 meetings, on Fridays from 14.00 to 17.30 and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 12:00. The lessons will be in live web mode with the possibility of interaction between participants and teachers.
PROGRAMME

Teaching Modules
– The Italian model between territorial control and information sharing
– The integrations between counter-terrorism and prevention of extremism
– The map of global jihadism
– Terrorism in France, Germany and Italy: between attacks, contrast and expulsions
– The international mechanisms of prevention of extremism and radicalism
– Deradicalization, disengagement, weakening, rehabilitation and social reintegration

CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION

At the end of the course a certificate of participation will be released by SIOI and NATO Defense College Foundation to those that have attended at least four lectures out of six.
The participation to the course wll provide rights to acknowledging 16 formative credits by the Order of the Journalists. A final vote is expected for those who request it. Interested participants will have to submit a journalistic paper on one of the topics covered by the course.
