From BRICS Summit in Kazan to G20 Presidency in 2025 to strengthen the multilateralism

On Friday, November 22, a conference titled “From BRICS Summit in Kazan to G20 Presidency in 2025 to strengthen the multilateralism” was held at SIOI in collaboration with the South African Embassy in Rome. The event was opened by Amb. Maurizio Melani, SIOI board member, and by H.E. Nosipho Jezile, the South African Ambassador to Italy.

With Hon. Alvin Botes, Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa, as the keynote speaker, the conference provided a platform to explore the challenges and opportunities for reinforcing multilateralism and promoting inclusive growth.

The discussions mainly focused on the outcomes of the 2024 BRICS Summit in Kazan and the objectives of the 2025 G20 Presidency.
