The President of the Italian Society for International Organization – SIOI UNA Italy – is Ambassador Riccardo Sessa.

Appointed by the General Assembly of members on 27 April 2023, on a proposal from the Board of Directors, he succeeded Franco Frattini, President of SIOI from 2012 to 2022. Amb. Sessa has been attending SIOI for many years, and he has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2002 and Vice President since 2014

Ambassador Sessa was Ambassador of Italy to Belgrade, Tehran, Beijing and Permanent Representative to NATO in Brussels. He was also Director General for the Mediterranean and the Middle East, and previously, Head of the Office for Relations with Parliament at the Minister of Foreign Affairs’ Cabinet, Diplomatic Advisor to the Minister of Defense and Chief of Staff of the President of the Council of Ministers.
