Observatory on the activities of International Organizations and Italian’s foreign policy

The Observatory on the activities of International and Supranational, universal and regional Organizations, on topics of interest to italian’s foreign policy (www.osorin.it) and its Newsletter aim to promote the research and its diffusion on themes which are relevant to the activities of International Organizations and at the same time are of primary importance for italian’s foreign policy. To this end, SIOI avails itself of the collaboration of research groups from various universities composed of scholars and experts on the topics covered, with a significant presence of young researchers.

This research project is realized with the contribution of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI)

To give some examples of the topics we will deal with we can mention: The New global multipolar order; The international strategy for the management of migration flows; The future of the enlarged Mediterranean; Italy’s role in Africa; The relaunch of the European Union project. It is easy to understand that, among the international organizations, the UN and all the universal organizations of the United Nations system, but also Nato, the European council, the European Union and many more are involved in the research activity.

At the end of this brief presentation, we thank the Analysis and Programming Unit of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for the support provided to SIOI for the implementation of the Observatory’s research project and related activities that will be a high-quality tool of wide dissemination of Italy’s commitment in the International and European field.
