2024/2025 YOUTH DELEGATES

Chiara Gisinti

UNYD from September 2024 – BIO (EN)

My name is Chiara Gisinti, I am 25 years old, and I am a student with a strong passion for international law, languages and international cooperation.

Originally from Pistoia, I currently live in Brussels, where I am working as a legal trainee at the Council of Europe Liaison Office to the European Union until the end of July 2024.

I am currently completing my master’s studies in Law at the University of Trieste, and pursuing an executive master in Leadership for International Relations and made in Italy, after graduating in 2021 in Legal Interpreting and Translation.

Thanks to this multidisciplinary academic background, which has allowed me to study in Italy, Spain, Portugal and the United States, I have cultivated a deep interest in intercultural exchange and international relations, further fuelled by educational experiences such as the Helga Pedersen Moot Court Competition and the Excellence Italian Academy on Diplomacy and International Stability.

Beyond my academic background and professional experience, I have always aimed at making my contribution to the international community, as demonstrated by my involvement in the European Solidarity Corps in Turkey, where I assisted refugees facing food insecurity and organised educational activities for youth.

My interests include the aspiration to actively translate the needs of young people into concrete proposals, as exemplified by my participation as panellist in the European Student Assembly held at the European Parliament.

Andrea Granata

UNYD from September 2024 – BIO (EN)

My name is Andrea Granata, I was born in Rome in 2000, and in April 2024 I graduated from the Master’s Degree in International Relations, with a Major in Diplomacy, at Luiss Guido Carli University.

The multifaceted link that exists between diplomacy and youth empowerment has always been the founding pillar of my academic-professional path. Since 2015, when I first fathomed the world of international relations by participating in a Model United Nations, I have been fascinated by the dynamics that shape the global order. This fervent passion led me to reconcile my studies with the framework of associationism, with the aim of promoting youth participation, locally and globally, and raising awareness of social and sustainable development issues among the younger generations. Specifically, since 2017 I have been part of an NGO with consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations, of which I am now a Member of the Board of Directors and Chief of Staff, while since 2023 I have held the role of Young European Ambassador, part of the “EU Neighbours East” project. In parallel, I have had the opportunity to get involved in the world of institutional multilateralism by participating in numerous youth forums on Agenda 2030 issues and beyond, including the Council of Europe’s World Forum for Democracy and Youth Action Week, FAO’s World Food Forum, the World Bank Group Youth Summit, and the Youth 7 Summit.

I thus had the opportunity to put my passion for development policy and geopolitics at the service of institutions. Between November 2021 and November 2022, I did an internship at the Department for Youth Policy and Universal Civil Service of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and subsequently, between May and August 2023, I worked at the Embassy of Italy in Singapore through the MAECI- CRUI Call.

“We young people are not the future; we are the present!

I am honoured to represent young Italians at the United Nations and I will strive to translate needs, fears and aspirations of young people into concrete ideas.

My main aim will be to bring my generation closer to UN policies and foster my peers’ interest in international cooperation and sustainable development goals.”

Chiara Gisinti

“Following the aforementioned itinerary, seasoned with dedication and determination, I now have the honor of representing my country as a Youth Delegate, guided by the founding values of the United Nations.

My primary goal will be to ensure inclusiveness, social and sustainable progress, and renewed faith in the future of our generation.”
