Analysis and Research

The SIOI Analysis and Research Unit conducts studies designed to deepen understanding of developments in global governance through projects addressing topics such as international cooperation and emerging forms of multilateralism, maritime governance, Italy’s multilateral and bilateral relations with rising actors in the international community, as well as specific regional or local crisis scenarios.

The findings of the Unit’s research are disseminated through conferences, seminars, and roundtable discussions on the subjects analyzed. In this framework, SIOI maintains extensive collaborations with international think tanks, national institutions, and research organizations, enabling the Society to contribute meaningfully to public discourse and to educate new generations of international relations scholars through an integrated, multidisciplinary approach.

As part of its research and analysis initiatives, the Unit produces both online and print content with scientific, academic, and editorial value. This includes the newly launched SIOI Series, published by Armando Editore in 2024 to commemorate the Society’s 80th anniversary.
